I haven't blogged here in a while. For some reason, I can't publish on my personal blog. So I've come to blog here so I don't suffer withdrawal, lol.

My summer has been very boring so far. It's too hot to go out and being at home all day makes me so lazy. I mean, I enjoy coming online, but even that gets boring after a while. And SV is slow at times, like right now.

So what's new with everyone these days?

How have you guys been? I've been good, tomorrow is my birthday and on Friday I'm going to New York. I'll be back on August 4th inshallah. Pray for me!! Last time I went on a plane, it was after September 11th, every single time they checked me, wanted me to take of my shoes and everything.

I've been thinking alot about niqaab. What about like in labs and classes like that were they might say it's dangerous to wear it?

Yeah, hijaab should be for modesty, that's so bad how some people do that.

I want to wear it but classes like that might be a problem.

What do you guys think?

Assalaam alaikum,

What do you guys think about wearing niqaab?? How many of you wear it?? What's it like?

If I start to wear it, I would be wearing it to school too. There are no other muslim ppl at my school and there are very few women in my area that even wear hijab and my mother and sister makes up half of that. There is this one woman who said she is going to wear niqaab now. I know, it really doesn't matter who is wearing it or hijaab or not, but it does make things easier.

These people are really probably not used to seeing someone like that, all covered up. Have you been targeted at more than when you wore hijaab? Yeah, I know, you are covered more, you should be more protected, but it's kinda not like that, right?

Even ppl who don't wear niqaab answer and tell me what you think. ;)

On Thursday, insha'Allah, I am going to a UN simulation in DC and I get to meet with our senator Bill Nelson.. I'm gonna ask him A LOT of questions! "You gonna vote for putting sanctions are Syria?" "How much money does the Israeli lobby pay you?" *snickers* I heard they're gonna wake us up in the middle of the night for an emergency meeting, that'll be fun! But make dua' for me you guys please because I am flying on July 4th and there are those terrorist warnings :/ I'm more worried of being acussed of something because I wear hijab than something actually happening, but just to make sure, make sure I can arrive there and back safely.. salamaat!
